TIFF هو تنسيق صور مرن وعالي الجودة يُستخدم على نطاق واسع في التصوير والنشر والتصوير الطبي. يدعم الضغط بدون فقدان والصفحات المتعددة والطبقات وأعماق ألوان عالية جدًا تصل إلى 32 بت لكل قناة. TIFF هو تنسيق الأرشفة المعتاد للتصوير الاحترافي وإنتاج الطباعة.

يستخدم TIFF بنية قائمة على العلامات تتيح طرق ضغط متعددة بما في ذلك LZW وZIP وJPEG. يدعم ملفات تعريف ICC وألوان CMYK ونقطة عائمة 16/32 بت ومستندات متعددة الصفحات.
التاريخ
تم إنشاء TIFF بواسطة شركة Aldus في عام 1986 لماسحات النشر المكتبي. استحوذت Adobe Systems على المواصفات في عام 1994 وتحافظ عليها كـ TIFF 6.0.
